F.A.Q.
Who?
I have a turntable and a nice record collection, mostly LP's from the 60's & early 70's.
What?
My aim is to make rare stuff (in glorious mono or sometimes stereo) publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
Requests?
Generally, no. I select my projects very critically. Vinyl condition is everything. I tend not to work with records that are in less than pristine condition.

Hey Prof,
This is the coolest version of Stepping Stone I think I've (n)ever heard.
Great mix, great rip. Thanks!

Very nice!
Hey Prof, many thanks for this. Looking forward to more goodies on your blog!
You are a wonderful man. Thanks.
I have been a fan of your needledrops for a long time. I love the fact that you're bringing rare out of print alternate mixes back to life. I have a question since you're a serious Hendrix nut like me, I have recently discovered that the single for Crosstown Traffic/Gypsy Eyes is a dedicated Mono mix for both tracks. Are we going to see this 45 rip from you in the near future? Let me know when you get the chance.
Keep Up The Good Work!
I was BLOWN AWAY by "Izabella". And its not like I've never heard the mix before, but this needle drop was amazing. Thank You!
thank you.
gk.
I can still remember the first time I heard this on FM radio (was it WNEW?) when I was in high school, I also recall the stereo(?) version on one of those Warner Bros/Repise loss leader sampler LPs we used to get by mail for a buck. I'd have to check, but I believe it was on the 3-LP opus "Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies." Thank you so much for these pristine transfers.
Thanks for posting these tracks -- and the other awesome music you have here! Great job on getting them to sound so good too. Much appreciated.
Best,
Brian
Thanks for the 'upgraded rip'. It's always nice to have a clean, crisp recording by Hendrix - reminds me of my obsession to acquire his catalog on either Japanese or German pressings.
Aussie pressings were always questionable.
Have also sampled some other offerings on your blog, so thanks for these as well.
All the best
Guy
Listening right now, and good gawd does this sound awesome! Many thanks to you prof for your efforts. I just found your site a few days ago and it's been a blast discovering all of these treasures.
I'm new to this whole thing, but really enjoy this. What is the password for this?
Never heard these particular mixes before... many thanks for the great rips, and especially the helpful lineage comments from Steve E.
Do you have any other rare Hendrix you could post some time such as the mono versions of the UK singles or maybe the UK Are You Experienced LP? I have the Singles Collection box set but it uses stereo versions for some of the songs unfortunately. Also, have you ever come across decent sounding rips of any of the posthumous albums such as Loose Ends, Nine To The Universe, etc.? I have the LPs but I'd also like to get good digital versions. Any info you might have would be appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks Prof
was trying to find a dl of your Experienced Barclay Mono that I've heard such good things about, doesn't seem to be online anywhere. Could you repost?
Thank you.
