  1. Prof.,
Thanks for tackling the "Small Faces". You're correct about the reissues/ remasters being on the dull side ... With every reissue of anything Small Faces I have such high hopes but ultimately find myself disappointed. I know like early Kinks albums, the production of Small Faces has a lot to be desired but there's always hope ...right ?!
    Thanks again !

  2. Prof ,
After a solid listen I gotta tell ya ... you did the impossible with this album. It sounds amazing. There really was a good production after all.
I knew you were real good but man you are have "ears" and bad skills!!!

  3. Damn, I don't know how but somehow I've missed the info that the mono tapes have gone walkabout (cheers Mr. Oldham...) so thanks as always for tackling this wee gem

  17. Wow, this really is an amazing album. Get Yourself Together sounds like a 70s pop #1 but made in the '60s. No complaints about the mix or the transfer from me, thank you so much Prof!

  18. Prof, my "go-to" for this gem of an LP was pbthal's original UK mono. I've just back-to-backed each track with headphones, and you've managed to inject even more clarity and "solidity" in terms of rhythm - it's hard to explain, other than it has more steady musicality. Anyway, another sterling effort. Superb work, cheers!

  19. Prof, I've always considered this LP somewhat of an unappreciated masterpiece. It is such an adventurous mixture of psychedelia, folk, vaudeville, even calypso, yet it hangs together so well. And the joie-de-vivre of the lads positively jumps out from every song. The only thing missing - until now - has been the sound quality. You really have made this my new "go-to" for listening pleasure! Thanks again! p.s. The record that is always overlooked and very hard to find a quality rip for anywhere is their "From the Beginning" (Decca) LP - a real gem that contains so many strong tracks, including some fabulous covers that eclipse the originals. Anyway, thanks again, Prof, for this wonderful gift.
