Who? Retired sound engineer who loves music from the 60's & early 70's.
What? My aim is to make rare stuff publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
I used to have these shows on the old Swingin' Pig label, some time around 1991. I lost them and no other version I found on the 'net ever sounded as good as I remember that old vinyl set. This one, however, sounds better!
Dear Prof - Thank you so much! If you ever care to bestow us with both complete shows that would be so appreciated. Thank you for your work!
Wow, this show sounds fantastic, better than a lot of other official live recordings from the era. Thanks so much for all of your care in these restorations, Prof! Morrison is in rowdy spirits here, but the musicians hold it all together with an assured touch.
I did actually fix the wow on "Love Me Two Times" and some of the other tracks a few years ago but never shared them (TTD peeps were too uptight about it at the time). Hallucalation knows where to contact me.
I love this show (especially since it has a couple of live rarities in the set) but always found it barely listenable. It sounds like you spent a LOT of time fixing the myriad problems. Thank you for all the hard work! Now, I wouldn't be so bold as to request something, but I do wish that the recent Matrix release had a better stereo balance... : )
Thanks a lot for your work and the pleasure you give !!
