Who? Retired sound engineer who loves music from the 60's & early 70's.
What? My aim is to make rare stuff publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
Thanks Prof! I remember listening to the 13th Floor Elevators in the late 60's, and only recently picked up Psychedelic Sounds. Always impressed with your work on these gems, and can't wait to hear these.
Wow, on "Slide Machine" now and this sounds absolutely brilliant. It's even better than your Tomorrow remix which I thought was perfect. You have surpassed yourself sir!
Thanks Prof! I was listening to 13thFE only yesterday (putting their live version of The Word on a Beatles covers mix), and along comes this marvel. Can't wait to give it a digital spin!
This is a wonderful mix Prof, thanks so much for it! I wonder if you've considered using demix tech to resurrect the first Stooges album with James Williamson from the audience tapes it exists on, that could be a fascinating endavour.
So far I have only been able to listen to the studio remix tracks. Its excellent. Looking forward to the live stuff this weekend (when I am able to crank it up!!!). Thank you PS. You are an amazing source of great music!!!
Well done. I'm enjoying comparing your mix to the recent QFPS series mix of this year. So much vitality in this record after all these years. Thanks for keeping it alive.
Another attempt by Charly to make their product look definitive. This is just another needledrop, and probably futzed with. Save your money. TPB and The Prof's work is all you need.
I'd like to publish my name so I don't look like some passer by, but whatever. Sounds fantastic! Never bothered with 13FE self titled, but for some reason really enjoy Easter Everywhere, both mono and stereo. This just kicks ass! Thank you so much for all this stuff! Will load it into the phone to enjoy outside at work on the earbuds.
This transfer of the mono vinyl is a godsend. Sounds far superior to any other digital version out there. Thank you so much for your generosity and amazing work!
Thanks so much for doing this. it's very much appreciated! (Also is getting me interested in Demix Pro...) I read the notes and am curious as to what's the difference between this download and the previous posting of this record by you. Obviously there's the addition of the mono tracks. Anything else? At any rate, thanks again for your loving attention to this classic music!

ReplyDeleteThe first album sounds very different on this blog. The cavernous reverb and bad sound quality that everyone expects is gone. You might like it.
DeleteThank you for this much appreciated (and needed) enhancement.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for all you make available, some of these LP s ive never heard before, maybe i should check out original releases 1st...... :)

ReplyDeleteThanks to you and Poodle bites, your work is immense, if only the record companies could follow your example.
And a HUGE THANK YOU for all your incredible posts, without exception.
