  3. Awesome, I can't wait to hear the upgrade prof. I loved the rip on the old setup. Honestly, when I first came to the blog, I saw your Aftermath rip. I thought oh sh*t (upgrade), yes! lol, but read the info and quickly realized it was just your rip from before. But, this one is the real deal! ;) thanks a bunch man. I can't wait to hear and compare.

    Great work as always

  4. Hey Prof.,
I got a good listen, and I have to say i don't hear too many differences between the old rip and this one. I replaced the old one with this one becasue it sounds kick a$$. Also, I am overjoyed to finally get a listen to the 45 you included, really is in the same vain of the album, COOL!!! thank you a LOT!

  5. Thanks for another little review, Aaron.
You're right, the tonal difference is not immediately noticeable. But it's there. This new rip has somewhat more subdued highs. This difference in mu setup is more apparent on records that have lots of information going on the upper hi-end.
BTW, I'm still looking for copies of BMW & NYLSB.
    Best, PS.

  7. Hello Prof.
Man, I have those singles, but I am in S. America now, and they are in Mn (U.S.A.) If I return there for vacation anytime I will pm you and see if you want me to send them. If I remember right they were in good condition, and I even managed to score the dedicated mono NYLSB, with your help!! I'll see if I can get my Dad to look for them (yes, he is the one who got all my stuff dumped on him : )

Be well, and thanks again! aaron (Ottoman79)

  11. Thanks so much for this and the others. I have been ripping vinyl long before it became internet fare, mainly for the conveniance of not having to get my records/tt greasy when I'm in the middle of cooking and the side ends. I appreciate the time it takes to rip. If someone would have told me ten years ago we would be able to share/access great vinyl rips of obscure mono titles that are just damn near impossible to find in good shape pre ripped on respectable rigs, I never would have beieved them. But here we are. Life is VERY good. Thank you so much.

  12. Man, Fleetwood Mac before Stevie Nicks is sure a weird thing, innit? :P

It's interesting to hear the original Fleetwood Mac lineup (all in their native Brit glory!) and how they were before they hit the mainstream in 1975, after their turbulent transition period, of course.

  13. Fleetwood Mac before Stevie Nicks isn't a weird thing, it's the REAL thing.
They kinda hit the mainstream for a lot of us back when Albatross sold a million + copies. Can't say enough about Peter Green's playing, singing, writing and incredible guitar tone. Blues guitar players have long worshipped at his altar.
Thank you for this. Unlike some rippers (won't mention any names) you seem like a good guy too. I can tell by your posts.

  15. I am now listening to this and it is the best version I have ever heard of this album, mono or stereo. "The World Keep On Turning" is one of my favorite Peter Green songs ever and it sounds great!.The slide on "Shake Your Moneymaker" has the great trebly edge missing from just about every version and the addition of the first single is a nice touch too. Thank you prof.-Mike

  20. Very good indeed. The vocals on Loved another Woman seem very back in the mix compared to the stereo version, but overall, wonderful.

  23. I've been searching for this mono album for some time. It sounds much better than the stereo one. As many of 60's albums, mono mixes are better than stereo. Thank you.

  25. Hi Prof. I'm getting checksum error for FM_FM_HR.rar - which is strange as everyone else DLed it fine. I tried 3 times with same result. Thanks in advance. ;)

  27. It works now... thanks Prof, my computer was in a grumpy mood on that day it seems. I will let you know how I like it. :)

  28. Thanks for your labours Prof, this mono mix sounds amazing. Lovely full bass esp. on Merry Go Round. Peter Green's harmonica on No Place To Go is beautifully sharp and clear. Oh, and the guitar on The World Keep On Turning is vividly present. All killa no filla. Great example of 60s London blues... metamorphosed via Chicago ;) Made my day
