F.A.Q.
Who?
I have a turntable and a nice record collection, mostly LP's from the 60's & early 70's.
What?
My aim is to make rare stuff (in glorious mono or sometimes stereo) publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
Requests?
Generally, no. I select my projects very critically. Vinyl condition is everything. I tend not to work with records that are in less than pristine condition.

The same rip from 2010, but with a minor mastering correction.
I've been listening to the V1.0 for ten years now, how time flies! What were the eq applied for? I think the v1.0 was damn good. Thank you dear Prof.
It was a little bit brighter than it should have been.
OK i'll check it out Many many thanks!!!
GREAT!!!
THANK YOU!
Ben
very nice mastering thanks
Cheers from San Diego!
Simply gorgeous and mindblowing work, prof! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR KEEPING THIS INCREDIBLE BLOG ALIVE!
Thank you Prof.
... is it Christmas already ? I can't thank you enough, Prof. Quick question, how does the 2018 Analogue Production (Bernie Grundman remaster) stand up to this 2010 Legacy vinyl ?
I find Bernie's approach too hands off. George Marino nailed these 2010 Legacy editions. Truth is, the tapes need some work and Marino did it just right.
You can hear the difference immediately in the guitar distortion in "EXP". It's doesn't have the usual bad mastering distortion and "Up From The Skies" comes in cleaner than I've heard before. George Marino is definitely one of those magic names that I always looked for on records when I was a kid.
A work of genius. Many thanks Prof

Love this album...thank you, Professor...
Another addition to my collection of Prof's Hendrix rips; as soon as I see your name it's an instant download for me - cheers Prof.
Hey Prof., Speaking about Bernie Grundman mastering, his mastering has the bass intro to EXP panned to the right and not down the center. Did you ever hear his reasoning for this ?
I seem to remember reading they remixed that one track?
This has always been one of my all-time favorite albums. Thank you!
thank you very much, dear Prof. :)
One of my favourite Hendrix albums. Thanks again for all your passion and dedication!
Amazing. Thanks so much for making the world a better place.
Thanks Prof. I know what I'm listening to today.
Any Hendrix is good Hendrix. TY
