  13. A truly superior effort Prof! These tracks sound better than I've ever heard them. Any chance you'd do the entire Necrophilia album someday? That would be amazing!

  20. Listened to the whole thing and the clarity and detail you're able to tease out of these 50 year old recordings is amazing.

If I have any quibble at all, it's that you used the edited version of Still a Fool - the original 9+ minute version is one of my all-time favorite Stones tracks!

    Thanks again.

  25. many thanks for this. truly outstanding. Being greedy, would it be possible to create a proper outtake album of exile on main st. The official expanded edition was truly appalling. Why did MJ decide to overdub new vocals? Love to hear a good version of the acoustic take of All Down The Line.

  28. Awesome Compilation! I'm a pretty big Stones fan so I have most of this stuff on other comps-But it never sounded this good! Also having the best of the boots in a nice package means I'll listen to this over and over again.

  55. Thanks Prof for the quality. The Rolling Stones discography is maddening when trying to locate the best versions. I mean, it wasn't until the DSD rleases of 2001-3 that we got Beggars Banquet at the right speed!

  63. This is outstanding! Thanks so much for this. I have some of this material scattered around on different media; none of it sounds this good. I haven't heard the old BBC stuff in years, and I look forward to getting to hear it all again. Thanks, Professor!

  64. Actually occasionally you take liberties but it's cool when you do. I'm gonna be greedy and put in a request for Best of Stones' Boots post-1970. There's so much stuff. I have most in various quality but to have the best in one place from the best sources would be awesome. Thanks again for your generosity.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Very Nice indeed! Thanks so much.

  66. Hi. Thanks for all your great work prof through the. A few years ago you had a mono mix of sympathy for the devil and street fighting man. I can't find it however so could you please post it again as I have lost my copy. Thank you very much for your help.
