  1. Congrats Prof Stoned! It's about time to see some group to use your expertise on remastering. The Led Zep camp (or any other group releasing their radio performances/lost masters) should use your skills.

  6. As soon as I read this I wanted to thank you for your work and used the link to register and order a copy - but alas, I tried at least three times to register an account on their site without success.

    1. Thanks for your interest - perhaps you can try a different browser? Or if the problem keeps happening, please use the shops contact option.

  7. What's different about your mix?

    1. Different stereo image, improved balancing, tighter and thicker low-end, some reverb and echo added here and there. It's comparable to the Beatles remixes. Sound samples can be heard on the linked page.

  8. You should advertise your remastered work on the Flash in the USA LP.

    1. I don't really consider that a "Prof Stoned Production" like this one. It was a job I did for TLAK.

  9. The other outtake "Love Me" would have made a great addition to this album.

  10. Could you have remixed it rather than remastered it?

    1. I would say it is, but we couldn't call it that since it was not actually done from the multi tracks.

  11. Thanks for drawing attention to this band especially guitarist/vibraphone Ollie Halsall who Andy Summers and others say his skills where in a class of his own.

    1. Fun fact: Halsall first started playing guitar earnestly in 1967, aged 18. Then 3 years later, he plays like this... 0_o

That wasn't his peak yet: on 1971's Hold Your Fire he had improved yet again to a higher level. Check it out. This first one album, however, has the better songs and stands as their finest effort (IMO).

  12. Just had a listen to the samples. Nice and fat and clean sounding. So why the need for your demix remastering skills? Are the master tapes lost?

    1. Which samples? The ones on the TLAK site are mine. The original master is just poorly mixed.

    2. Yes, the ones on the TLAK site.

  14. Hi Prof. Did you remix the entire LP? I A/B'd a few songs from the original LP to your "mix" and there's no difference.

    1. All tracks. I can't vouch for your A/B testing abilities but the difference is really not subtle.

Best example: the moment the vocals kick in on Red Glow. Also, the vocals on The Man are much lower in the mix on original.

  15. Ordered. Congrats. As I mentioned before, I always wondered why this didn't happen long ago.Keep on!

  16. Again, thanks for the support guys!

  17. Can't agree about better songs on the first LP - I think Hold Your Fire is a definite step towards more adventurous writing and playing. Third LP is also great, but Ollie plays a lot of piano instead of guitar.

  18. Congrats on your first official release...too cool!!

  19. Wow, someone else knows about Patto and wunderkind Ollie? Impressed. Thank you kindly!

  20. Enjoyed your latest demix-remixes Prof, and as a Patto fan buying this was a no-brainer - nice and punchy, well done!
