Here is your christmas present, folks. Enjoy it. Be warned that I will delete the 2020 mono version in the near future because I believe the version contained herein is superior.
ReplyDeleteYou have outdone yourself kind Prof.
DeleteThank you very much! Merry X-mas!! - Ottoman79
DeleteThank you Professor. Its going to take me a while to ingest all of this goodness. I am listening to the Avalon Ballroom and its awesome!!! Merry Christmas.
DeleteRockin' Daddy
Wow, first thing I'll do next morning is listening to this. Thank you, Prof. Happy Xmas!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you've been very busy on this one Prof. I'm looking forward to unwrapping the present and enjoying your excellent work as always. Many thanks and have a great Christmas yourself !
ReplyDeleteOMG Prof! Chrimble came early this year. Thanks so much. I'm so stoked for this. Eff off Charly Records and Paul Drummond. This is how it should (MUST) be done.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I was wondering when the kind Prof. first heard our hometown heroes…. Love from Austinš¤
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, how i love this! This is one of the greatest x-mas presents you could have made me, dearest Prof! Thanx a bunch for the effort you put into this! Cheers and very big hugs, Dan
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow, Prof !!! You have taken this album, ripped off all of the production inexperience of the original mix and gave us an incredible glimpse into the realm of just how amazing this album truly is with your demixing / remixing technique. This in itself would have been enough but you actually gave us and enormous "easter egg" for Christmas with the remastered mono, The Headstone Reels, Rough Mixes and 3 live performances!! You constantly knock my sox off.
ReplyDeleteThank you. This made my morning!
ReplyDeleteThis is EXCITING, thank you for the Xmas gift Prof!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely incredible. Thank you, Prof, for everything that you do. Merry Xmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for all you do. Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! This is so exciting! On a related note, can anyone here believe that the most recent edition of Rolling Stone’s top 500 (FIVE HUNDRED ffs) albums does not contain either this album or Easter Everywhere? Astonishing oversight that utterly vitiates the whole stupid book. I should know not to expect too much from poor dear sad old RS, but still!
ReplyDeleteThis was the year the last vestige of Rolling Stone as any authority crumbled into nonexistence as Jann Wenner's bigotry--which guided the magazine through all the years it was actually vaguely relevant--was finally made public knowledge.
DeleteThe fans are the ones who have kept the legacy of the Elevators alive, the fans are the only ones that matter. It takes devotion to execute a project like this, devotion RS routinely slathered onto Wenner's friends and pet mediocrities while ignoring the true visionaries.
Fuck Jann Wenner and fuck RS. The Elevators rule forever.
Amen to all that, including Wenner's insane late-career own-goal. Elevators forever.
DeleteFantastic sound. I'm so grateful ... many thanks prof.
ReplyDeleteJust great, thanks so much, Prof.!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Prof! - ths is mouth-watering! Have a great xmas!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is the greatest Christmas-present of this century, without doubts!! Thank you Professor, and have yourself a great Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to unwrapping and hearing this. Thanks so much for your time and effort in making this available
ReplyDeleteWow, great sounding mix. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, indeed! Outstanding work - thank you very much, Prof.
ReplyDeleteHey Prof, the new mono version is such an improvement on your last version it's unreal. Would you consider the mono mix, even with your spectrally-fixed stereo version taken into account, the definitive mix?
ReplyDeleteNeither will ever be perfect. The mono LP had copious amounts of compression applied during mastering. The stereo LP much less so but it has often too much reverb in the mix itself. I am very happy with the mono YGMM here though.
DeleteBeen on an Elevators kick for the past few months but was struggling to find something that didn’t sound sub-par. Until now!! Thanks so much, Prof Stoned.
Deletewonderful, thaks Prof. and hope you have a great Xmas as well
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your time and effort on this great project! A wonderful Christmas present!
ReplyDeleteThank you Prof. Best wishes for a bright and prosperous new year.
ReplyDeleteImpressive! You're really at the next level of mastery. The big labels would do well to learn from your seriousness (I know, they're in it to make a buck...).
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for this ultimate version, and for the others of course!
Merry Christmas, Prof! And thanks to your effort here, it will be a TRULY merry one! Thank you, can't wait to dive in!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Christmas present! Thank you so much!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the 13th Floor, and the bonus live stuff. Just starting out but it sounds great!

Although I do not currently have access to the greatest audio equipment, I can still tell with my current setup that this is, by far, the best I’ve ever heard this album sound, BOTH mono and stereo.
ReplyDeleteI’ve only heard one other person with a mono mix of this album that was this good, but he didn’t finish ripping all the tracks, and subsequently removed them. This was years ago.
But now that you’re also offering a demixed version of the stereo mix, I really don’t know which one I prefer! š
No kidding, you’ve really outdone yourself. I’m thoroughly enjoying listening to this. My new definitive go-to mixes.
In all honesty, life hasn’t been the greatest for me, and this has really cheered me up. I’m trying to find more words to express my gratitude, but perhaps I’m overdoing it.
And thank you so much for all the cleaned up live material and alternate takes, too! This has clearly been a passion project for you. Although, that’s not to say that you don’t approach everything you do with passion. Of course, you do!
Once again, all the best to you and your loved ones these holidays. Peace and Love. ☮️ ✌️
Please fill out your equipment profile before commenting about sound quality. It's in the forum rules.
DeleteJust kidding! Nice to see you PP!
Wowie Zowie! This like a properly presented Sign Of The 3-Eyed Men. Beautifully done Prof.
ReplyDeleteThanks Prof, this is much more comprehensive than I could've imagined. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Your attentive work is always greatly appreciated. -ejh
ReplyDeleteAmazing work ! Congrats and thanks for sharing it !
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful xmas gift! Thanks Prof. and Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeletethis looks amazing! thanks so very much!
ReplyDeleteThis...is...PHENOMENAL! What an effort! What a Christmas present!! What a joy!!!
ReplyDeleteObviously words fail me at the moment.
Incredible! Thank you so much and happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteMerry Xmas...looking forward to this one. Thanks
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat! thanks x a lot
ReplyDeleteHƬ and merry Christmas everybody. Tranks, Prof, for this outstanding stuff! I'm interested in every possible cover of the rolling stones songs. And this group play Satisfaction in a very powerful way.
ReplyDeleteThis is real treat, thanks a bunch
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this Prof!! I look forward to listening to this. It's going to be a great Xmas!
ReplyDeleteWhoa!!! Many thanks. What a treat.
ReplyDeleteWould love a better mix of "Demon Angel" it's a fantastic album.
I hope you look into Syd Barrett and his catalogue. Lots of room for a better mixed box set!
Also, controversial but noteworthy "The Family Jams" by The Manson Family. Difficult to separate the the document from the deeds. Yet, it too is a amazing artifact but perhaps not worthy of your attention.
Hi Prof - a fabulous Christmas time, New Year celebration, and 2024 to you and yours. Thanks for being a giver not a taker. It's important.
ReplyDeleteJules
Thanks man.
DeleteMany thanks Sir
ReplyDeletethank you
ReplyDeleteSo good.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Prof for this wonderful Christmas present!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Professor!
ReplyDeleteThank you prof! A beautiful Christmas' present. Merry xmas. Enrico
ReplyDeleteWow. Excellent stuff, thanks Prof!
ReplyDeleteThanks, you are always introducing me to some new wonderful music.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting
ReplyDeleteI previously downloaded the mono version which means I now have about 9 versions:
1. Radar LP
2. Spalax CD
3/4. Charly 2CD version inc mono and stereo
5. Texas Psych group download version
6. Original Prof Stone mono mix
7. Sign of the 3 Eyed Men
8/9. This one
The Charly ones are all inferior to both of yours. The Radar one is less compressed but again, yours is superior...... and of course you now have all the bonus material.
Heretical I know, but I prefer Easter Everywhere. Of course I have yours (again superior to Charly versions) and also the Poodle rip. I'm not going to risk insulting either of you by comparing yours to the Poodle's.
Thank you Prof! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Prof and happy new year
ReplyDeleteFernando Johnny
DeleteOutstanding work Professor!! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeletethank youuuuuuuu!
ReplyDeleteCheers Prof - Thanks so much. I was just listening to this today, and la voila, another of your master works.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! The Elevators, Moby Grape and Traffic are long time faves of mine.
ReplyDeleteThank you Prof. I look forward to hearing your magic again. Happy New Year to all.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Can't wait to here your work
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeleteThank you mate !
ReplyDeleteExcellent Prof. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Prof!
ReplyDeleteThis is now the definitive document regarding the material surrounding the first album. People would pay good money for a package of this caliber, if Charly would ever get their heads out of their ass. Or at least come clean with their sources.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this, Professor!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the labor of love.
ReplyDeleteWowweeeeeee! Do Easter Everywhere next! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeletethanks very much Prof, this sounds fab
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for all your passionate work
ReplyDeleteThank you for compiling and posting.
ReplyDeleteWhat else can I say that others haven't already. Thanks for your ears and your effort.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Tunes!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is great, thanks a lot Prof.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I've been comparing versions of this album for years. I thought your 2020 rip was definitive but now you've topped yourself.
ReplyDeleteMany, many thanks for this and all the wonderful restorations, especially the Mono ones. You are a real international treasure.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The Elevators defined American Psych. I listen to their first two albums almost as regularly as I listen to live Grateful Dead '68/69. That's a weekly dose...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Brilliant work as ever.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat work ! is there a chance of having the Houston Theater show 1967-02-18 reworked by you?
ReplyDeleteJeff
Seems like an "Easter" thing.
DeleteThanks Prof, you have squee
ReplyDelete...squeegeed our collective third eye and we can see/hear clearly now!
DeleteThis did rock my world. Much appreciated. I've been listening to this an awful lot since your post.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Prof Stoned!
ReplyDeleteSuperb, Sir. Thank you x
ReplyDeleteFinally got done listening to this and it's incredible, thanks again Prof.
ReplyDeleteWell . . . . this was a surprise. I expected to see the album remastered and maybe a few bonus tracks but instead, there is a ginormous treasure trove of 1966 musical material that will require a deep dive. Listening to the stereo album now and WOW, it's never sounded better to these old ears . . . almost makes me feel like I'm 13 again. THX Prof Stoned.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Great mix!
ReplyDeleteThis is so hard to find. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am listening to the Stereo version of the album as I write this. What an incredible sound. This isn't just work , this is a labor of love. I can't believe all the extras in this folder. Listening now is taking me back to my youth. I can only say it once but; THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I'd love to revisit sometime soon as the site needs proper understanding really.
ReplyDeleteBy far the best-sounding transfers of the album that I've ever heard, and superb bonus and live material to boot. Thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much
ReplyDeleteThanks as always, really looking forward to hearing this!
ReplyDeleteWow. Grade A+ posting.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate all the work in putting together this awesome share. The quality is outstanding! TY!
ReplyDeleteLoving this compilation… What are the chances we’ll see an update with the original stereo mix included as well? Many thanks for all your excellent work!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean? The original stereo mix is included here.
DeleteNo.. it’s a “demix” made using the software that prof has been using lately to remix (or demix) albums.
DeleteOh, right, yes. But he used the original stereo mix as the basis and tightened it up with demixing. The most radical depatures are the 3 songs that were originally in mono anyway. So wouldn't including the original mix again be counterproductive to what was done here? (And thus not an "upgrade".)
DeleteWell just how stereo and mono mixes can coexist with each other and each have their merit, I think the original stereo mix in the highest possibly fidelity is worth having along with the demixed version. I want it all!
DeleteThank you first for your work improving these releases and secondly for sharing them freely with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much - I'm going to enjoy listening to this!
