Who? Retired sound engineer who loves music from the 60's & early 70's.

As I said before "AMAZING" !! Can't wait to start listening . Just wanna give you a heads up, Prof. When I was loading the files into my JRiver, which I always do it folder by folder with your releases because I want to make sure all the labeling I add is correct as per your notes, I found in folder "1967 - 07 - 13" another folder inside labeled "DOAC" with another version of "Death Of A Clown". Did you want us to have this 2nd "Death Of A Clown" as well (even though it is also dated (27-7-67)?
The Kinks are my favourite band of all time, and it was just my birthday, so thanks for the very thoughtful birthday present, Prof.! Can't wait to dig into these!

Thanks so much Craig! If it's not too much of a bother, could you list which session each disc starts with so we can divide the files up ourselves? (I'm sure I can figure it out on my own, but if you have a list of where the breaks happen, pass it along!)
I hate to say this but I fear there is a slight chance these were AI created!
Reasons I feel this way:
1- They just sound too good for previously lost 1969 recordings.
2- Ray's vocal on the first track don't sound 100% like his voice though in his defense he was the master of having the ability to use many different vocals styles. Thinking of the Arthur album.
3- I fear that two new great Kinks tracks from 1969 is just too good to be true! I hope I'm incorrect!
Okay, nothing is surfacing about the two tracks I thought might be AI generated being fakes so I will now say Professor "Excellent work"!!! Great find and great work! THANK YOU!!!
Ok just listened to the first half 1964-67. The BBC tapes usually sound very bland to my ears but not here. I've heard them on countless releases but this is revelatory. From the first notes of Cadillac you've really brought these performances to life. Much appreciated.
Prof, Looks like Mojo Magazine has acknowledged you in the upcoming November issue (Issue 396) on page 18 about your posting of the 2 previously unreleased songs from "Where Was Spring". And I quote, "Sandoval had known about the discovery of Let’s Take Off Our Clothes and Darling, I Respect You (a barely audible tape of which already existed) for three years or so, having been in touch with the collector who had acquired the tapes from a house clearance. With little chance of them ever enjoying an of昀椀cial release, a serial deep-dive bootlegger named ‘Prof Stoned’ elected to upload them to his blog"
Ha! Serial bootlegger sounds a bit like serial killer :D It's true though, BMG has no interest in releasing anything Kinks anymore which is pretty much why these ended up here.
