Who? Retired sound engineer who loves music from the 60's & early 70's.
What? My aim is to make rare stuff publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
I'll second that. The Prof is Producer, Engineer, Mixer, Archivist, Restorationist, Compiler, Art Department, Music Scholar ... Music Lover! He is his own record label in the grandest sense of style.
See what happens when I don't check your site everyday .... Not 1 but 2 by the legendary Quicksilver Messenger Service has me giddy with delight. Professor, you are ... Amazing !!
Thank you for the extra's as well! Recorded at Golden State Recorders, Owner and Engineer Leo De Gar Kulka. I was there from 1979 - 1980. Leo ran the CRA - College for recording Arts at the studio. His stories about recording and mixing some of the hottest bay area bands from the '60's and '70's were entertaining to say the least. If you watched the Sly Stone Documentary on HULU " Sly Lives" there is a great shot of Grace Slick with a tambourine in the main room of Golden State Recorders. https://i.postimg.cc/CKwHwqmT/478263367-10161828853517626-3314675566963449605-n.jpg You can stream this compilation of San Francisco bands from Golden State Recorders here - https://sundazed.com/various-artists-golden-state-recorders-dig.aspx
