  1. My favourite Mothers album - big thanks for the fine mono mix. Hope Filefactory will give free slot for free users soon as I don't have a premium account now. Looking forward to this. Thanks, Yours Causinger

  3. Excellent! This is the best rip I've heard yet and I'm glad that you brightened it up a bit. I think this album just sounds bad because it's bad recording though. The stereo master is pretty much the same...dull and bass heavy.

  4. Good to hear from you, J.
I'd agree with you it's not that well-recorded to begin with. But then again, the 2012 stereo remaster has pretty clean high-end, or at least better than the original LP pressings, I think.

  12. I always thought my original mono lp (couldn't afford stereo records back then!) sounded like mud. This one is pretty nice. Perhaps my favorite Mothers record.

  16. Shame the original mono tapes have been lost and/or misplaced. You'd think that music companies would take care of the recordings in their possession. Needless to say, this makes your vinyl transfer efforts that much more important in terms of preserving this rare mix so many thanks for your stellar efforts.

  17. Don't know exactly what your tweaks were on this one, but they did indeed improve the sound in comparison with that of other mono drops of I've heard. Many thanks for it, professor.

  23. Big thanks for this one. One of my favourite Zappa albums. Nice to hear it in this way... the mono does sound a little more vivid...though I did grow up with the reverby Ryko CD. Yet again another excellent effort!
