Who? Retired sound engineer who loves music from the 60's & early 70's.
What? My aim is to make rare stuff publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
I can't wait to hear this!! Alice Cooper was my first favorite rock band! What a great surprise. You have made my day. Thanks for putting this together prof! Cheers
Eighties kid here so only heard the singles, really looking forward to checking this out as I'm a big fan of the other Michigan bands of the era, thanks Prof.
Thanks Prof. Thought you might be working on something special ! School's Out was one of the first 7 inch singles I bought when I was 11 !! Cheers ....... AA
Thank you for sharing. For those with the ears for it the enjoyment of listening to your work is immense. (...and makes you realise how poor so much released music is)
Thank you very much, first for the upload, and more also for your work on these recordings. I think we are getting close to when audio restoration may even allow us to remove voice over from audio. I love Alice Cooper, you the man!
Thx dude. I've learnt that voice-over removal is probably not one of the things that is gonna be successful with this technology in the future (as great as it is). Simply because you cannot retrieve an element from a recording that just isn't fully there to begin with. A music track which is pushed to the back by a loud voiceover is damaged & incomplete.
Have you considered re-doing your Zeppelin Osaka dealie in stereo? Someone did the 9/29 show and it turned out pretty good. Would be a rocking good time I think.
I'm a bit late to the party with this one, but thanks so much Prof.! It'll be a nice companion to my copy of Alice Cooper - Live at the Whiskey a Go-GO.
Just as one would have imagined, expected and anticipated AC to perform to in their prime. Love the improvisation and little theatrics that would have trailblazed their performances all those decades ago. Thx prof! A true 'time capsule' not heard before!!!
Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are my hero.

Thanks! Such a great band during this early period!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing and very much appreciated! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Prof Stoned! Demux is a great audio tool, I'm guessing it's possible to increase certain instruments volume from a bad mix?
ReplyDeleteYes, to a certain extend.
