  5. Great pick, Professor! I can't wait to hear what you do with this one. The mix of the sbd has always sounded a little funky to me so I am certain this will be a big improvement. Cheers!

  7. awesome, love this early electric period - the Newport performance is fantastic with Mike Bloomfield's snarling guitar so looking forward to checking out Robbie in the lead role in '65

  9. Terrific choice! Haven't seen Dylan on here in years. I actually just listened to the rather horrific sounding Forest Hills show the other day and had this one queued up so a superior version is particularly welcome.

  14. This sounds amazing - my favorite era of Dylan and most of the interesting concerts suffer from poor sound. Great work and thanks.

  17. First of all, as a fan, THANK YOU, this sounds fabulous. Secondly, as a digitizer of radio shows with only a TEAC 4-track familiarity with mixing tracks, can you point me in the direction of any good online references so I may learn how to improve my transcriptions? (Thanks whether you can, can't, or won't, regardless.) :)

  34. This is excellent. I've used the same source in the past but without demixing, just a lot of EQ work and some multiband compression, and it was good, but no where near this good. Great work - I'd say this is definitive for the time being! Thank you.

  52. Yet another great work, by both the artist as well as The Professor.

  53. Fantastic work! Would love to hear what you could do with other Dylan '65-66 shows with songs not on that last month (royal albert, etc) such as Positively 4th St from Australia. Also the Europe 1987 tour with Petty has no really great quality recordings, you could take some of the aud tapes and really make them shine- there are some real gems in there!

  70. Prof, I've had this boot since it originally appeared. It was always a great performance, but the dull sound was a frustration. You've somehow managed to wipe away so many layers of sound "grime" that it sounds almost new! This is the definitive version of this historic show now!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Thanks so much Prof Stoned! Heard this show before, but it's never sounded so alive such as this. To have this in such good quality, it truly is a gift. The electric set is searing, this is the good stuff.
